Buckhead is frequently named by media outlets like the Robb Report as being one of the best communities in the country for its shopping, restaurants, and mansions, and it’s sometimes referred to as the Beverly Hills of the south.

Some of the best shopping in Buckhead can be found at Phipps Plaza or Lenox Square, but there are smaller boutiques and more intimate retail options as well. Attractions in Buckhead include the Atlanta History Center and the family-friendly LEGOLAND Discovery Center. Buckhead is home to the Chastain Memorial Park, which is the largest city park in Atlanta. Chastain also features an amphitheater where national touring shows come each summer. Some of the many highly-regarded Buckhead restaurants include King + Duke, Chops Lobster Bar, Bones Restaurant and Pricci. Buckhead is often where chefs come to open new restaurants in Atlanta, so there are plentiful options.

There are year-round events in Buckhead, many of which are family-friendly. For example, Buckhead Restaurant Week is a local favorite as is the Buckhead Springs Arts & Craft Festival on Park Drive. The Chastain Park Arts Festival features more than 150 artists with their work on display, and there’s the Buckhead Beer and Wine Festival. Holiday events in Buckhead include the 4^th of July at Lenox Square and the Lighting of the Great Tree at Macy’s on Thanksgiving Night. The Governor’s Mansion also hosts a Tree Lighting Ceremony.
